That Waxy Good Good 👀
The products in the Waxed Canvas Collection feature two different fabrics from Halley Stevensons. For the shell, a 12oz. P400 Classic Waxed Canvas is used. In my opinion, this is what most folks are accustomed to when they think of waxed canvas. The wax creases with use, showing lighter tones as it "patinas." Over time, the shell can be re-waxed, and by using a blowdryer or heat gun can reset the creases that developed with use.
For the liner, a lightweight, P200 6oz. Hybrid Wax is used. All the great water-repelling benefits of the wet wax, but with a dry feel to the material. I wanted a robust feeling option for the liner that still felt in line with a heritage feel, and I think the P200 Hybrid is a great option. I would describe the wear and look similar to that of a crinkle nylon.
